When your child doesn’t cooperate!

What if your child doesn’t cooperate for even something basic like brushing his teeth before going to bed? What if you get annoyed and start setting limits that will worsen the situation even more?
Even if you force and threaten your child, you might just start acting to be too pushy.
Instead, I suggest that parents should stay calm. Here is what you should do to bring the best out of your child:

1. Respond but don’t React
I suggest you should listen to the child and give him or her a patient ear before you react to the situation in a manner that is unwanted. Try to understand the child’s viewpoint as well.

2. Cooperate with your kid
Don’t forget that the easy way is to cooperate with your child and patiently deal with the situation.

3. Never forget the fact that the win – win solution doesn’t just work in corporates but works at home as well.
Finding solutions that keep you and the child happy and a positive spirit to set ground rules will make things easier to implement.

4. We somehow get tested as parents in situations like these; however creating a slight push back and understanding the situation better with a little patience can bring in a lot of patience in the child as well.

5. Never forget to keep the connection with your kids and don’t let them lose hope. This way you would bring in not just a relative positive energy in their thought process but will make them calculative and adjusting as well.

6. Teaching self-discipline & cooperation might help you find your child willing to brush his teeth too.

Parenting is a bit tricky but if you practice patience and some simple tips, like those mentioned above, it would be easier to raise well-behaved kids.
